Community concern about the Raven coal mine project filled the room at the Filberg Centre in Courtenay on Thursday evening. The event was sponsored by CoalWatch Comox Valley.

The keynote presentation was by energy researcher Arthur Caldicott, with additional presentations by Jack Minard and CoalWatch co-chair Campbell Conner. Informative and lively discussion after the formal presentations helped CoalWatch identify a list of concerns which it will ensure are included in the environmental assessment conducted by the BC Environmental Assessment Office.
